Historical marker inscribed, "The Lower Burial Ground was presented to the Borough of Germantown in 1693. In 1868 it was conveyed to the Hood Cemetery Company. Here rests the remains of many early settlors and their descendants. Here were buried General Agnew and Colonol Bird, British Officers killed in the Battle of Germantown. Also Christian Frederick Post, a noted Moravian Missionary to the Indians. The Site and Relic Society of Germantown 1903."Made/Created
