Black and white 1941 view of a man smoking a pike as he walks west on the south side of the unit block of West Chelten Avenue. Behind him is the intersection of Germantown Avenue and Chelten Avenue, with storefronts and billboards on the north side of the east side of Chelten Avenue visible. Billboards include advertisements for Old Overholt Whiskey, Prem, and Rival Dog Food. A sign for the Tru-Site Optical Company is barely visible on the north side of Chelten Avenue, below the billboards.
