Photograph a is a view of the Marker at the Revolutionary War Campground located at Queen Lane and Fox Street. The monumnet is located at the site where Washington's Continental Army troops camped before and after the Battle of Brandywine in 1777. The site itself was flooded by the construction of the Queen Lane Reservoir (Judith Callard, Germantown Historical Society, 2000). The photograph shows four cannon barrels embedded into the base of the monument. Rising in the center elevation is a stone marker on which is affixed a plaque commemorating the Battle of Brandywine. Immediately behind the monument is the Queen Lane Water Filtration plant.
