Clippings and memorabilia from World War I scrapbook compiled by Dr. Naaman H. Keyser, page 153c. Two newspaper clippings, both undated and from unknown newspapers, are glued to page 153c. The first of the two clippings [at left], is of a photograph of Miss Margaret Lathrop Law, "who sailed for France to join the Y. W. C. A. forces abroad. She is a graduate of Wellesley and was taking a special course at the University of Pennsylvania when the United States entered into war. She immediately entered the School of Horticulture and fitted herself as a trainer in the Woman's Land Army. Miss Law is a daughter of William A. Law, banker, 5449 Greene street Germantown." The second of the two articles, at right, bears the headline "To Aid Y. M. C. A. in France," and continues with "Miss Mildred B. Williamson, daughter of S. Frank Williamson, 4711 Pulaski avenue, Germantown, is on the way to France, where she will engage in special education work for the Y. M. C. A." Includes a photo of Miss Williamson. Pages are 7.5 x 10".
