Photographs from Photo Scrapbook 25, page 42
Please see notes for additional information.
Page 42 contains two photographs with captions.
Photograph a [top] shows three men standing on the lawn. Two are in shirt sleeves, while the third man (to the far left) is wearing a vest. The man in the middle is bent over and leaning forward after having "rolled" a ball (in what is most likely a game of lawn bowling). In the far distance are trees and the outline of a building. The caption reads: They're off! - with Wilson Woods in action.
Photograph b [bottom] shows three men in the foreground. The man in the center is wearing a suit coatt, while the men on either side of him are dressed in shirt sleeves. All three are wearing straw "boater" hats. The man on the right is holding two small bowling balls in each hand. Two small bowling balls are positioned on the ground at the feet of the two men on the left. In the right distance, a man is seen walking across the lawn area. In the background a house sits on a plateau which slopes down to the lawn. The caption reads: Then Josephus explains to Wilson how the game should be rolled.Photograph Details
