Photograph a [top, left] shows at least four men on the playing field (perhaps taking position on the field). The men are seen in the distance.
Photograph b [top, right] shows a group of men standing on the field. The man in the center (his back to the camera) is seen wearing a white undershirt and white pants and carrying a pail in his left hand. A grouping of men is seen to his right . In the distance (on the left) a man is seen crouching on the ground as in a catcher's position on a circular patch of ground.
Photograph c [bottom, left] shows a man in the foreground facing the camera wearing a dark athletic shirt. In the background on the left are seen two men sitting on the ground. In the background on the right are two men standing on the field who appear to be active participants in the game.
Photograph d [bottom, right] shows two men on the edge of the field peering into the distance at some possible activity taking place out of camera range. The man on the left is dressed in a suit and wearing a straw "boater" hat; the man on the right is more casually dressed. A three story building (probably a house) can be seen in the left background.
