The photograph is approximately 5" x 7" in dimension and presents a wide angle group photograph. The men in front are seated, while the men in the rear are standing. All are facing the camera. Most are seen in shirtsleeves, although a few are wearing suit jackets. Most of the men are wearing hats, while a few men are hatless. Most are also wearing ties. There is a tree line immediately behind the group. To the left is a portion of a low building with a "sagging" roof and an open front. The caption reads: At the start of the festivities a photo was taken - All had not arrived, and a good many of those present were still on their dignity, - some even having failed to remove coats and collars.Photograph Details
