Photographs from Photo Scrapbook 25, page 58
Please see notes for additional information.
Page 58 contains two photographs with captions.
Photograph a [top] shows three men (two are wearing hats, while one is wearing a cap; two are carrying their suit jackets, while the third man is wearing his jacket). All three are standing around the small round pond. In the pond are a miniature steamboat and a miniature sailboat with two sails. In the distance are tree lines. The caption reads: Captain Shultz also wanted to "see the wheels go round" - gave the pond the "once over", - said that "from it's size, it should be only a one way Traffic, but the craft was going both ways."
Photograph b [bottom] shows five men in the frame, with three men centered in front sitting on a wooden bench that has been built around a large tree trunk. Separating the last two men on the right (one of whom is sitting and the last man on the right who is standing) is what appears to be a gramophone on the bench. One man's suit jacket is seen hanging from the tree trunk. The caption reads: "Marsh" Farra and "Doc" Poley, like Cassius of the "lean and hungry look", awaited the coming of the "chow" wagon.Photograph Details
