Page 27 shows a photograph on the grounds at Manheim (Germantown Cricket Club). The photograph shows a formally dressed woman and young girl standing in a garden area at Manheim. The woman is wearing a full length dress with frilled sleeves and a layered skirt . A shawl is draped over her wrists and she carries a purse. Her hair is swept back and adorned with a small sprig of flowers. The girl is holding the woman's hand and is dressed in an ankle length dress with "pantalettes". She is wearing a dark apron with frilled suspenders and a form fitting bonnet tied under the chin.
They are standing on a brick garden path at Manheim bordered on both sides by hedges. Behind them are matching brick columns surmounted by globes. Garden beds are visible in the distance as is the outline of a building at Manheim.Photograph Details
