Please see notes for additional information.
Page 34 shows a photograph on the grounds at Manheim (Germantown Cricket Club). The photograph shows a woman in period costume standing in a garden area at Manheim. She is wearing a full length floral print dress which hangs off her shoulders and is gathered at the waist with a "frilled layer" overlapping the skirt portion of the dress. The dress sleeves are "puffed" and end above the elbow. She is wearing a long string of pearls which drap down onto her waist. She is wearing a large bonnet which is set at an angle on her head. A grouping of flowers is attached to the bodice of her dress.
She is standing next to an elaborately shaped base upon which rests a sundial. This base rests upon a raised square piece of stone. In the distance are flower beds, garden paths a trellis/arbor, a stone/brick wall and mature trees/vegetation. In the right background is barely visible through the trees an outline of a building. Based upon the utility pole visible, this building may likely not be located on the grounds of Manheim.Photograph Details
