Page 43 shows a photograph on the grounds at Manheim (Germantown Cricket Club). The photograph shows a young man in period costume standing in the garden area at Manheim. He is dressed in a formal suit with a frock coat extending to the knees. His pants are knee length and tucked into white knee-length srtockings. He is wearing a buttoned vest with shirt "frills" visible at the top of the vest (which is unbuttoned). A white hand-tied tie with a white "chocker" is seen above the vest and a white flower has been placed in one of the coat buttonholes. He is wearing a top hat and holding a cane/walking stick in his right hand. His left hand is placed resting on his left hip.
He is standing in open ground and in the background is a hedge, a brick column and an open arbor. Mature trees are visible beyond and above the arbor.Photograph Details
