Photographs from Photo Scrapbook 7, page 48
Please see notes for additional information.
Page 48 shows a photograph on the grounds at Manheim (Germantown Cricket Club). The photograph shows a grouping of three women dressed in period costume standing in front of a building entrance. All three women are dressed in full length dresses. The woman in the center would appear to be more formally dressed in a floral pattern dress witha black "chocker" and upswept hair. The women on the right would appear to be dressed more in maid/servant attire since she is wearing a bonnet, plain shoes and an apron. The woman on the left while wearing a lace bonnet is also wearing a black "chocker' and a cameo on her dress bodice. Her dress (while not as formal as the woman in the center) is certainly more formal than the woman on the right.
The women are standing in front of an entryway on a porch. Full length double doors are open And one interior door is closed behind them, while the other interior door is fully open.Photograph Details
