Page 8 shows a photograph on the grounds at Manheim (Germantown Cricket Club). This photograph shows another "display" with three women in period dress (full length dresses, bonnets tied under the chin and shawls and/or short capes). On the covered table are various rugs, blankets, and other woven products. The left side of the tent flap in the photograph shows a painted stone "faux" facade.
It should be noted that these diaplays are tents, the front of which is painted to resemble a building facade. The rear tent flaps are rolled up to reveal the actual display where patrons of the Fete may purchase items in support of Germantown Hospital.Photograph Details
