This volume is a scrapbook filled with newspaper clippings of articles written about Old Philadelphia Families. A printed pamphlet at the beginning of the scrapbook would suggest that Frank Willing Leach wrote a series of articles entitled "Old Philadelphia Families" which appeard in a publication known as "The North American" apparently over a two year period starting in 1911(?). The articles seem to span the years from 1896 to 1913, perhaps even later. An Index can be found in Volume 2.
