Wissahickon Photo shows the Hartwell Lane Bridge upstream from Valley Green. This Bridge was washed out in a flood around 1929. Up until the flood from Hurricane Floyd in 1999 the foundations of the bridge were intact. After this severe flood the foundation on the west side of the creek was destroyed. A similar photo appears in Francis Burke Brandt's book "The Wissahickon Valley within the city of Philadelphia," published by the Corn Exchange Bank in 1927.Made/Created
