Print in black ink on white paper of "Indian Rock"; under glass, framed in black painted metal, trimmed with narrow gold line. Below, graphic sketch, following description:
"Indian Rock is situation on the foot of Rex Avenue, where it joins the Wissahickon Creek in Chestnut Hil. Tedyuscong [?/Tedyeescong?], as the statue represents, was chief of the Delaware tribe and was among the last to leave the Valley in the 1700s. The statue of Counsel Rock, overlooks the many natural trails and Rex Ave. Bridge where in former days, Mills, carriages, inkeepers and cavedwellers passed and left their marks on the pages of history. In 1973, the Valley is much as it was in Tedyuscong's time. Arrowheads can be found where small streams join the creek."Artwork Details
