Crazy quilt with a large central rectangular piece of printed material. Central section measures 351/2" x 22", the material is a yellow satin with woven designs of pansies, leaves of blue purple, rose with the use of metallic thread in the design. In the area around the center section, there is a pieced "crazy" design. There are many types of materials used- satin, silk, velvet and ribbons. The materials are solid, floral print and stripe. There are applique flowers, lace and leaves. Use of the feather stitching and chain and satin stitch are used. Another common motif on the quilt is a circle with different colored quarters. "Olympic rings" are also sewn on the quilt. A yellow twisted cord is used around the center and edges of the quilt. There are large knots in the corners of the cord. The quilt back is a yellow satin, machine quilted, with bright pink thread used to attach the back and the front of the quilt parts.
