*Partial transcriptions of letters. Finding Guide notes:
"Two letters hand-written by Ellen Olney Kirk to E. C. Jellett are kept in the GHS archives {ms 4}. In addition, seven (letters) addressed to Mr. Jenkins may be found in ms.1. A further five (letters) to Mr. Jenkins are at the friend's Library, Swarthmore College. These are also considered.
The problem with these Kirk letters is her handwriting - writing that runs the gamut from idiosyncratic to near illegibility. The following transcripts, after attempts to decipher the letters by several readers, are provided as an aid in translating from the copies of the originals. Additional elucidation would be welcome".Collection
