A digital image of various members of the Striffling family, as seen in this 1880s parlor photograph. Eugenia Striffling- who would later marry Nicholas Jacob Hug- is visible at the back of the photograph, and would have been perhaps in her early 20s at the time of this sitting. The Hug family had their barbershop and salon in the old King of Prussia Inn/ Tavern on Germantown Avenue and lived just around the corner from their shop, at 53 Maplewood Avenue, now Maplewood Mall.
