Sampler sewn on Berlin canvas, every tenth thread is dyed blue, with wool thread. Sampler has a border of different colors; green and gold along the top, red along the right side, red and pale rose along the bottom, green and olive green along the left side. There are seven rows in the sampler, all sewn in #6 Susan Earl style.

Row 3 K-O pale pink thread
Row 4 O-T olive green thread
Row 5 T-W pink thread
Row 6 1-4 green thread, X-Z pink thread, 5-7 green thread
Row 7 8, 9 light purple thread, "M. Collin" very hard to read, also light purple thread.
Sampler has paper tacked along the edge and used as a backing for the sampler .
