Sampler Laetitia Perot, 1840, contains four different alphabets. Outer border is a stylized geometric 'key' design. Sampler contains 9 rows of alphabets and name.
Row 1: "A-Z" #6 Susan Earl pattern, capital letters
Row 2: "A-O" #4Susan Earl pattern, capital letters
Row 3: "P-Z" Susan Earl Pattern, Capital letters, small flower at the end of row
Row 4: "A-Q" #5 Susan Earl pattern, Capital letters
Row 5: "R-Z" #5 Susan Earl pattern, capital letters
Row 6: "A-N" #6 Susan Earl pattern, capital letters stitched in the eyelet stich
Row 7: "O-Z" #6 Susan Earl pattern, capital letters stitched in the eyelet stich
Row 8: "a-z" #7 Susan Earl pattern, capital letters
Row 9: Name and date combination of #5 for capital letters and #7 for lower case letters. On either side of the name are groups of flowers. In the center bottom of sampler is a large basket with flower and birds on either side. In the lower bottom corners are circles of flowers/leaves (similiar to a strawberry pattern). Inside the flower for the sampler are green, gold, yellow, blue, rose, white. Also the alphabets alternate in color, three letters in one color and then another color.
