Irregularly shaped block of wood with metal label reading, "THIS MATERIAL WAS TAKEN FROM THE ORIGINAL HULL OF THE US FRIGATE CONSITITUTION KEEL LAID 1794 REBUILDING 1927. Small off-white adhesive label, handwritten on label is "1166". A second label is attached by means of one nail at top center. Handwritten on label is the following, "Part of Keel of US Ship Constitution, Gift of Frank J. Palmer, No. 1166, May 14, 1938."Dimensions
