Item a, at the upper left, is a photograph of the first building of St. Stephen's Methodist Episcopal Church from 1856 to 1866 at 5207 Germantown Avenue. A note in the middle of the page gives a brief history of Methodism in Germantown.
Item b, at the upper right, is an image of Rev. Newton Heston, the first pastor of St. Stephen's Methodist Episcopal Church.
