Survey of Residents in the Penn-Knox Neighborhood, 1983. Approximately 75 pages of original report, to include photos; plus on copy of original. All are contained in a black covered, three-ring binder. This survey was conducted by local high school students (the majority from Germantown high School) of residents in the Penn-Knox neighborhood of Germantown to determine specifics regarding likes/dislikes of neighborhood, longevity at address, etc. It does not appear the information obtained through these interviews was utilized for any specific purpose. Apparently, the main purpose of this survey was as a training/educational experience for the student interviewers.
A bookplate found Inside the Binder Front Cover indicates this report was a gift to The Germantown Historical Society from the Editor in 1986. Apparently, that reference to Editor pertains to Anna Fisher. Ms. Fisher was most likely a teacher at Germantown Friends School. Two of the students who particiated in this project were from Germantown Friends School.Collection
