The Hartman Freundschaft, 1885, Hard cover, 356 pp. This book appears to be essentially a type of diary. The pages were initially lined and blank. Many pages are still blank, while others have hand-writing. There appears to be a chronology starting with 1754 and ending with 1885 (?). The word Freundschaft is translated as friendship. The handwriting is difficult to decipher so a true accounting of the subject matter of this "diary" has not been attempted.
A bookplate Inside the Front Cover indicates this book was a gift from John M. Hartman to the Site and Relic Society of Germantown (now known as The Germantown Historical Society).Collection
