Wissahickon photo showing the Monastery. the Joseph Gorgas farmhouse built in the 1840's at the foot of Kitchen's Lane. Surrounding area is called Monastery Field. Trees are bare. A shallow creek is visible in the foreground and an arched stone opening that leads into the hill below the farmhouse. Inscription on back: "The Monastery.
