The Edwin C. Jellett Series of Scrapbooks, Volume 1, Part 2- The Wissahickon
Page 120 contains two photographs: (a, top) entitled "South Side, 1907" and (b) two bridges.
(a) This photograph entitled "South Side, 1907" (in handwritten notation) shows a center view of one stone arch carrying the railroad over the Wissahickon. This arch frames a path (underneath the arch) lined with trees and foliage on both sides of the path. A bench can be seen in the left foreground, as well as a utility pole on the right immediatley past the arch. The path winds out of sight in the distance and numerous tall tress are seen in the distance.
(b) This photograph shows two bridges spanning the Wissahickon. The shorter bridge in the foreground with a railing running the length of the bridge carries Ridge Road over the Wissahickon. The taller, multi-arched, stone bridge in the background carries the railroad over the Wissahickon. The Wissahickon can be seen in the foreground running under both bridges.Collection
