Page 122 contains two newspaper photographs:
(a) This photograph is entitled "Looking From The Ridge Road" An additional caption ("The Gateway of The....) is incomplete. The newspaper rendition of the photograph shows the multi-arched, stone railroad bridge which spans the Wissahickon as seen from the Ridge Road in the foreground. Under the middle arch is the path known as Wissahickon Drive (now [2014] known as Lincoln Dive). A figure can be seen emerging from the Drive onto Ridge Road in a two horse drawn sleigh. The original photograph was taken in Winter as snow is evident on the ground. In the distance behind the left arch can be seen some buildings atop the hills lining the Wissahickon creek.
(b) This newspaper photograph shows a rendition of what appears to be the original iron bridge that spanned the Wissahickon carrying the railroad over the Wissahickon. A number of railroad cars can be seen atop the bridge. A large, multi-story building can be seen to the right on the banks of the Wissahickon. This is likely Robeson's mill. A small, one-story structure can be seen on the left. In the foreground are two horse drawn carts/wagons. Through the left arch, in the distance, buildings can be seen lining the banks of the Wissahickon.Collection
