Description

The Edwin C. Jellett Series of Scrapbooks, Volume 1, Part 2- The Wissahickon Page 135 contains a photograph that has a penciled caption (by Jellett) that reads: "Bridle-path, immediately north of Ridge Road." The photograph shows the bridle-path in the center foreground and extends into the distance curving out of sight. The creek side of the path is bordered by a wooden fence post. The side farthest from the creek is bordered by a large rocky formation. Two children can be seen sitting on a bench on the left facing the camera. Standing across from the two sitting children are a man, a woman and two young children. At the female's feet are two baskets. Sitting on a rock above those standing are four children (3 boys and a girl). All are facing the camera. The view behind the group is covered with mature trees and foliage, suggesting late Spring and/or Summer.
