The Edwin C. Jellett Series of Scrapbooks, Volume 1, Part 2- The Wissahickon
Page 146 contains a photograph of a scene on the Wissahickon. The photograph shows a man standing on a wooden dock on a bank of the Wissahickon with a number of rowboats tied up at the dock. The view is one showing the bridle-path (on the left) and the Wissahickon creek and opposite bank receeding into the distance. To the left of the dock (which is low and very simple) are a series of wooden posts with rope stretching between the posts. Given the abundant foliage and the man in shirtsleeves, the photograph was probably taken in late Spring/Summer. To the left of the bridle-path (in the mid-distance) stands a small wooden one-story structure (of unknown function). Some benches can be seen to the left before approaching this unknown structure.Collection
