The Edwin C. Jellett Series of Scrapbooks, Volume 1, Part 2- The Wissahickon
Page 162 contains a photograph entitled "The Maple Springs Hotel." This photograph is identical to the photograph included in the article on page 161 (see catalog number 2013.34.1.161). The photograph shows a three story building , the first two stories of which are encased with a balcony supported by filigreed columns on three sides. The top story is "compacted" and centered over the central structure. Running along the front of the first story porch is framework for an awning. Open-front stables are seen on both sides of the Hotel. Two men can be seen standing in front of the Hotel.Collection
