Page 17 contains two newspaper clippings attached to a single while lined piece of note paper affixed to the scrapbook page. In the left hand margin is the handwritten word "wissahickon".
Top clipping (2013.34.1.17a) is a poem entitled "The Wissahickon" and the author is identified as Mary N. George. In small handwriting at the top right of the clipping are the words: G[ermantown?] Telegraph, May, 1900.
Bottom clipping (2013.34.1.17b) is a smaller clipping, which again is a 10 line poem. It has no author attribution and is affixed toward the bottom of the page, suggesting that it is not a part of the top, longer poem.Collection
