Page 49 contains a newspaper clipping and a newspaper photograph. It is possible (and likely probable) that the photograph is actually part of the article; however, since that link cannot be officially corroborated, the photograph has been treated as a separate (and distinct) scrapbook page entry.
(a, top) This newspaper clipping is an article entitled: "Rittenhouse's Old Paper MIll A Reminder of the Past." This article (date and author unknown) relates the historic past of the Rittenhouse Paper MIll. The author also cites Martin Nixon, owner of the Flat Rock Paper Mills and his contribution to the paper industry through use of different materials and methods to produce high quality paper.
