The Edwin C. Jellett Series of Scrapbooks, Volume 3 -The Wissahickon
Page 73 contains a photograph labeled in Jellett's handwriting as "Wissahickon School, Interior View, Looking North." It is dated by Jellett as 1901. The photograph was taken from within the school showing two window openings (minus the windows) through which trees can be seen. The walls show "graffiti" and crumbling plaster work. Although the ceiling is not visible in the photograph, sunlight/shadows on the walls would seem to indicate that the roof in not intact.Collection
