Page 82 contains a newspaper clipping of a photograph with the following caption: "Some Philadelphians may find it hard to believe that this rural scene is within city limits, but it is. It is 'Rittenhouse Village' in the Germantown section." The photograph shows two residences (stone structures covered with a stucco facade). Two young girls stand in the foreground on a dirt road. The scene is "pastoral" with many trees and open space. As the caption indicates, it does not correspond to the many buildings and street grids found in Germantown proper.Collection
