Page 111 contains:
(a, top) contains a small newspaper clipping which reads as follows: "Where the old Rittenhouse road crosses Paper Mill run a beautiful arched bridge has been built. This marks the site of the original Indian trail to Roxborough. Where Schurz lane bridge is located was originally a ford."
(b, botttom) Jellett's notes read as follows: "Previous to about the year 1830, the children in the vicinity of the "Rittenhouse Birthplace" were obliged to go to Roxborough to school. Finding this burdensome, those living in the neighborhood called a meeting to devise means to secure a school nearer home. The meeting was held and the result was that the land was offered - Nicholas Rittenhouse giving half of the hill on which it was after situated, and Isaac Rittenhouse giving the other half. The meeting was called by the Rittenhouses, the Umsteads, and McKinneys and each contributed. The stone was hauled by the father of William Unstead. The school was long in use and was abandoned when a new school was erected at Blue-Bell Hill."
