The Edwin C. Jellett Series of Scrapbooks, Volume 3 -The Wissahickon
Page 119 contains Jellett's notes:
(a, top left) It should be mentioned that these notes are not included in the transcription by Harris. The reason for this omission is unclear. These notes contain the heading "Rittenhouse Academy", and are hand-dated 8-11-1918. The notes are very difficult to decipher and appear to offer a synopsis of the building of the school, as well as some names of teachers and pupils (?).
(b, bottom, right) These notes are also labeled "Rittenhouse Academy" by Jake Kephart and are dated 1-27-1919. These notes contain a lsting of pupils in 1859 (about 40 pupils enrolled in the school).Collection
