Page 12 contains a photograph and small newspaper clipping (which will be treated as one entry). The photograph is of the building known as The Monastery. It is a four story stone structure with a porch on the first level on at least two sides of the building. The architectural design is "formal" and somewhat "stately". The newspaper clipping relates an abbreviated "history" of the building and its owner, Joseph Gorgas, a member of the German religious order known as the Dunkers, who were affiliated with the Ephrata Cloister in Lancaster.Collection
