Page 17 contains two photographs:
(a, top) This photograph shows a side and rear view of the Monastery. The words "The Monastery" are written in white lettering on the photograph and the year 1912 has been inscribed on the scrapbook page to the right of the photograph. Prominent in the photograph is the porch at the first story level supported by numerous comumns.
(b, bottom) This photograph is a newspaper photograph at the top of a two column article. Jellett's handwriting lists the source as the "Inquirer" and dates it as 6-23-1902. The unknown author describes the detailed history and usage of the property, as well as ownership. The author repeats the claim that no existing records can document ownership of the property prior to Joseph Gorgas. Sufficient records exist to document ownership from Gorgas onward to the current ownership (2014) by the Philadelphia Fairmount Park Commission.Collection
