The Edwin C. Jellett Series of Scrapbooks, Volume 5 -The Wissahickon
Page 77 contains a newspaper clipping from the Germantown Telegraph, dated10-30-1903 (in Jellett's handwriting). The article details the closing of the Kitchen's Lane Bridge, the Livesey's Lane Bridge and the Allen's Lane Bridge. All three bridges had been in a state of disrepair and although listed as "closed for repairs" are probably permanently closed. Above the article are three photographs of the closed bridges with a caption identifying each bridge.Collection
