The Edwin C. Jellett Series of Scrapbooks, Volume 5 -The Wissahickon
Page 89 contains a photograph with a typed label that reads: "Wissahickon Mine Entrance known as 'The Caves' ; Wilmot McCann in entrance, taken about 1910." The photograph shows the identified Mr. McCann standing in the mine entrance. The mine entrance (much resembling a cave) is located on the valley "floor". Above the entrance, the hillside slopes upward at a steep angle. The hillside is covered with trees and vegetation.Collection
