Caves
Pete Hagens told me of an old cave along the stream on Gorgas Lane, higher up in the woods and beyond the present cave. The entrance to the cave was near a marked tree which Hagen told me he is no longer able to locate. The cave was accidentally discovered by Hagen's brother while hunting rabbits. The entrance to the cave was small and one, to enter, had to drop into the hole and crawl backwards, but, when beyond the tunnel, the cave was roomy and had three partitions. Hagen thought the cave a natural one. Hagen was several times in it but is no longer able to locate the inlet and thinks the ground must have caved in and covered it.
