Page 135 contains an illustration entitled "The Pipe Bridge Over the Wissahickon".. The illustration shows an ornamental iron bridge with inverted trusses. Iron pillars provide support for the bridge as it spans the Wissahickon and it attaches at both banks to stone pillars. The pipes to which the trusses are attached carry water over the Wissahickon from the Roxborough reservoir to provide water to Germantown.Collection
