The Edwin C. Jellett Series of Scrapbooks, Volume 7 -The Wissahickon
Page 21 contains a photograph with a typed caption which reads: "Old View of Valley Green Hotel. Photograph by Newell". The photograph shows two men standing on the Wissahickon creek bed with the Valley Green Hotel behind them. The Hotel is a two story structure with a covered porch roof running the entire length/breadth of the building. Some one story structures can be seen to the right (apparently attached to the Hotel) but are partially obscured by a tree line. Behind the Hotel, a large tree canopy covers the hillside. The Hotel can be seen in a reverse mirror image in the creek.Collection
