The article relates that prominenet society ladies have been granted permission to manage the Valley Green Hotel, hopefully to restore its popularity and the character of the Hotel. The Park Commission has approved the action. Lydia T. Morris is Chair of the Women's Committee. The top photograph on the page is of the Valley Green Hotel and is captioned: "Valley Green Hotel, Fairmount Park, which will be run hereafter by a coterie of society women". The bottom photograph is captioned: "Mrs. Alexander Williams Biddle".Collection
