Page 67 contains a newspaper clipping with an accompanying photograph. The photograph caption reads: "Valley Green At The Time It Was Added To The Park". The photograph shows the Valley Green Hotel in an early photograph before the words "Valley Green" were painted on the side walls. Jellett has inscribed, in pencil, underneath the photograph caption the date 9-1-1907.
The title of the article is: "Daughters of the Revolution Are Preserving Old Tavern On The Romantic Wissahickon". The unknown author relates a history of the building and the area and notes that the Daughters of the Revolution (Colonial Dames) have taken over management of the Hotel, resulting in a clean appearance and a generally good upkeep.Collection
