The Edwin C. Jellett Series of Scrapbooks, Volume 1- The Wissahickon
Page 55 contains handwritten notes of Jellett on white lined note paper. These notes are entitled "Bob Fell" and appear to be a continuation of Notes started on page 53 (see catalog number 2013.34.1.53). It should also be noted that this page is double sided and needs to be turned over to reveal the reverse side. Jellett further recounts further information from Fell about "Strange Rocks" (formations that were unique and were named) along the Wissahickon. Fell mentions the Kelly family on Kitchen's Lane and the Monastery. Fell briefly shares his recollection of the history of the Monastery and people associated with it. Jellett also recounts Fell's knowledge of the various mills along that stretch of the Wissahickon, mentioning Megargee's mills. Fell recounts a verbal "picture" of the area, the buildings, and the people as he remembers them.Collection
