(a, top) This photograph has a handwritten caption (by Jellett) that reads: "Valley Green, 1904". The photograph is a replica of the photograph found on page 74 in this scrapbook (2013.34.7.74). Please see that page and catalog number for a full description.
(b, bottom) This photograph is undated and uncaptioned. It shows the stone arched bridge that spans the Wissahickon at Springfield Avenue, a short distance from the Valley Green Inn. The view is from creek level and shows almost the entire bridge structure with its graceful arch. Both banks are tree lined into the distance.Collection
