The Edwin C. Jellett Series of Scrapbooks, Volume 9 -The Wissahickon
Page 23 contains two columns of newspaper clippings which continue on the rear of the white notepaper page to which they are affixed. Jellett notes this article appeared in the Ambler Gazette on 9-1-1904. The article is entitled "Interesting Local Matter Collected by 'E. M.'" It should be noted that these columns contain ink notations (most likely by Jellett) correcting some errors in proper name spelling. The author writes about an old graveyard in Whitemarsh, close to the Williams schoolhouse and the Carson Mansion. The article recounts many of the individuals connected with the history of the area who are buried in the graveyard. Some genealogy and pertinent facts about these individuals are also mentioned.Collection
