Description

The Edwin C. Jellett Series of Scrapbooks, Volume 9 -The Wissahickon Page 25 contains two clippings of a newspaper article entitled "Interesting Local Matter Collected by 'E. M.'" Jellett has made a notation (on the rear of the page) that this article appeared in the Ambler Gazette of 3-1-1904 (on the rear of the page, a short column finishes the article); however, his notation on the front of the article lists the date as 3-31-1904. The article begins by citing the Williams farms in central Whitemarsh, and then cites the several branches that belong to the family. Specifically mentioned is the Coulston Farm located on both sides of the great road from Chestnut Hill to Cold Point and thence to Norristown. The article delves into the history and genealogy of the property and the individuals who owned the property. It cites the improvements made and the costs associated with the sale(s) of the property. The article ends with a brief overview of the will of Peter Knorr.
